ALL ABOARD FOR A UNIQUE ADVENTURE!

Discover the Secret Valley by Rail Bike!

Experience the natural beauty of one of Pennsylvania’s most storied rail corridors through our scenic four-mile tour. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including white-tailed deer, great blue herons, and bald eagles!

The approximately one-hour guided tour travels along the banks of Manatawny Creek and through historic rock cuts that were hand-dug by Civil War veterans in the late 1860s. Those rock cuts, which contain magnetic rock, spawned the first iron industry in the United States. They provided George Washington with cannonballs, and later brought Thomas Edison to the Secret Valley for an invention that was not as successful as the light bulb.

Pedal-Powered or Electric: You Choose Your Adventure! Our pedal bikes are uniquely designed, human-powered vehicles. Thanks to the low friction of our 150-year-old steel rails, the bikes are easy to pedal, making them a great adventure for all ages.

New this year: Upgrade your experience with our throttle-controlled e-bikes, completely eliminating the need to pedal altogether! Our bikes accommodate up to four riders, making this the perfect memory-making adventure for families and friends.

Booking Note: New for this season, rail bike tickets are now sold by the individual seat, offering maximum flexibility for groups of any size!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Rail bikes are not useable by persons over 250 lbs in weight. You will not be permitted to ride the bike if you exceed the weight limit or are not the minimum height.
